Manchester Diocese is made up of three Archdeaconries: Manchester, Bolton and Rochdale. Each Archdeaconry is made up of a number of Deaneries and the Deaneries contain the churches within each Parish.

You can search using any or all of the parameters, however please bear in mind the churches database is still under development - as more church data is gathered and inputted the search will become more useful.

Notes:

  • If searching for a church with Saint in the name please do not abbreviate or use apostrophes, e.g. use Saint not St or St. or Saints'
  • When using a church name please use the singular eg Mary rather than Mary's.
  • If searching for churches in a team ministry, please use just the team minstry name (e.g. Worsley - not Worsley Team Ministry) in the team ministry field and this will bring up details of all the churches in that team ministry.
  • Searching for just a town can bring a large number of results, try including a district/area as well as a town, e.g. Miles Platting, Manchester, rather than just Manchester.
  • You can use part of a postcode to locate all the churches within a postcode area, e.g OL
    To narrow your search down to a smaller area use more of the postcode, e.g. OL11 and to target your search precisely use the full postcode, e.g. OL11 2TE
