St Paul's Church, Kersal Moor, Salford Deanery

The Church is a large Victorian building which was completely modernized after a fire in 1987. It consists of a fully carpeted Social Area which can accommodate parties, courses, conferences and ‘away days’ of up to 75 people. Upstairs is a large open mezzanine area with comfortable seating suitable for small group work. Part of the Social Area can be separated off using soundproof folding doors to make a smaller meeting room, suitable for groups of up to 25. It can also be used as a separate eating area (kitchen opens into this part).

The Worship Area holds upto 250 people and is suitable for concerts (excellent acoustics, superior grand piano, high quality organ), conferences and prayer events. Specific quiet and prayer areas have been set aside within the Worship Area. In addition, there is a comfortably furnished private room in the back vestry area suitable for small informal meetings, small group work or 1:1 work.

There is a fully fitted kitchen. We ask that food and drink not be taken into the Worship Area.

Tables of various heights and sizes are available, including children’s. New chairs are shortly to be purchased to replace/enhance our existing stock. The Social Area has a drop-down screen, and projector/portable PA system are available for hire.

Because of the size, standard and flexibility of its facilities, and its location between Prestwich and Salford close to both Manchester city centre and the motorway network, St Paul’s is a popular venue for concerts, parties, groups and diocesan events. For many years it was the home of Prestwich Music Club and is used by Chetham’s School orchestras and other musicians. It provides excellent children’s and other party facilities. There is ample parking down Moor Lane adjacent to Kersal Moor.
