It is important that if parishes wish to use photographs or images in their publications, especially on a website, that they obtain copyright permission before use.
If you use an image or photo on a website without obtaining the proper permission, it is possible that you may be faced with a bill for hundreds of pounds per picture.
Churches Together in England has collated some advice for churches on the appropriate use of images on church websites. Details are on the CTE website here.
CTE has also made a free image library available for use by churches on its website at www.cte.org.uk/photos.
