The Revd Hayley Matthews was appointed to serve as Chaplain to MediaCityUK in September 2010.

Both the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York blessed The Anchor and prayed for the MediaCityUK Chaplain in March 2011, before touring MediaCityUK and opening a new bridge to Trafford Quay.

An exhibition at the Lowry included presentations from the Vice Chancellor of Salford University, Martin Hall, Monsignor John Devine of Liverpool Hope, formerly of the NWDA, Peter Salmon from the BBC and Revd Hayley Matthews.

The Archbishops joined a panel discussion entitled 'Can we have faith in a media city?'. The debate was broadcast on Radio 5 Live and a podcast version is downloadable below. (The files range from 12-17Mb in size and each may take a few moments to download.)
