Key contact: Peter McEvitt, Diocesan Stewardship Officer
In an age of global warming, credit crunch and financial crisis, how much money we spend and what we spend it on speaks volumes about our relationship with God and our role as stewards of His generosity. As stewards we are entrusted by God to use properly all that He has given us: our time, our talents and, yes, our money.
Peter is available to offer help and advice on:
New resources are available to our churches, ranging from the Jigsaw-led campaign (see below) to the outline of a simple annual renewal campaign and the facility to produce ‘customised’ one-off Gift Aid envelopes which have proved very helpful.

Good Enough for God is a stewardship campaign that invites your church members to look at what they give in terms of time, talents and money to build up God's kingdom.
The campaign is run in partnership with the Stewardship Office, who are available to help you plan, prepare materials and assess the outcome of your campaign.
An average campaign lasts for five Sundays or four weeks, but can be shortened to suit local needs and circumstances.
It is useful to have a fixed date for the Launch and the Thanksgiving (i.e. the date on which the responses are collectively offered to God during the main service).
Download Planning a Campaign for information on planning a campaign. The planning document contains a sample timeline for running the campaign.
Decide who you are going to approach as part of the campaign. The Electoral Roll is a good place to start.
The Stewardship Office can help by creating one or more jigsaws for you to represent the ministry of your church.
Each Jigsaw has 80 pieces made 24 digital photographs plus a central one (that is often a picture of the Church Building with its name added).
Allow six weeks from delivering the photos to the Stewardship office to receiving your jigsaw.
As well as the jigsaw(s) you will need some personalised campaign literature. This comprises the following items. Samples can be downloaded here. For personalised copies, contact the Stewardship Office.
