The second annual presentation of Bishop’s Certificates in Children’s Ministry took place at Manchester Cathedral. Over 150 people gathered to celebrate the achievement of 78 children’s and youth ministry workers who were receiving the Bishop’s Certificates, Church Colleges’ Certificates, and certificates for completing the new youth work training course, ‘The Key’.
Bishop Mark, who chairs the Diocesan Board of Education, presented the certificates and thanked the recipients for their commitment and all their work with young people. Diocesan Children’s Officer, Steve Dixon, said that he was delighted that recruitment for the various courses was so strong.
“With this batch of recipients, we have reached the 100th person in the diocese to have gained the Level 1 Bishop’s certificate,” he said. In addition, 47 people have now completed Level 2, and 22 have Level 3.
