Churches, schools and youth organisations are being invited to place bulk orders for a special box of Christmas Tree decorations which includes an invitation to church and a copy of the Christmas story in the box. A special sign-up form is now available to download and can be used to collect orders.
The Meaningful Chocolate Tree Decorations are an opportunity for parents, grandparents and Godparents to buy an interactive gift that allows the telling of the Christmas story at home.
Each box of decorations contains a limited edition Christmas card, a sticker set and six hand wrapped, high-quality, Fairtrade chocolate tree decorations.
A spokesperson for the Meaningful Chocolate Company said: “Over the next week we are hoping that churches, youth groups, schools and uniformed organisations will find a champion to be responsible for colleting orders and placing them by 14 November. Sales are going really well but, as this is a pilot and in order to get this into the supermarkets in future years, we just need to give it one last push. The team here hope you can help.”
It's hard to believe that most of the UKs 20 million Christmas trees have nothing religious hanging on them. The Meaningful Chocolate Tree Decorations are the first ever set of Fairtrade charity tree decorations to carry images of the characters of the Nativity. In addition, a donation will be made to Traidcraft Exchange for each box sold.
