Silver Service

Practical ideas and opportunities for reaching older people with the Christian message.

Why is it that as soon as the word evangelism is mentioned the first people that we often think about are children and young families? Older people are just as important. They, like everyone else, have both a need and a human right to hear the gospel. The Good News enhances everyone’s life in the here and now and prepares us all for the reality of eternal life. God’s love and mercy are for everyone.

The practical booklet contains 12 suggestions from practitioners in Manchester Diocese. It is meant to be read by lots of different church members; the more who read it, become informed and motivated, then the greater the impact of this wonderful ministry.

To order booklets or for more information please contact: Fr Richard Lindsay on 01457 832219.

Mission Weekends

Every year, we run about 30 mission weekends. We want to double this number. To get involved or find out more, contact Tony Hardy (0161 438 2834).

Enquirers’ Groups

These are a proven and do-able piece of effective evangelism particularly suited to parishes. Every church is encouraged to run at least one during the year.
