Parish Grants
The diocese administers a number of grants that are available to parishes in need. Full details, application forms and deadlines for applications are available in the Grants Handbook. Click here for the Grants section.
The Church & Society Department supports parishes by:
- Providing advice and support to secure around £2m in grant funding (including English Heritage grants) each year
- Advising parishes on raising match funding
- Offering training sessions - Introduction to Fundraising and Grantnet, Community Landfill workshops
- Assistance with Parish Audits
- Drop-in advice sessions
- Preparing detailed analysis and briefings on Indices of Deprivation to inform action on areas/issues across the diocese.
Mustard Seed grants
Small Grants of £5000 are available from the Church Urban Fund for projects costing up to £15,000. Eligible parishes will be in the top 10% on the Index of Multiple Deprivation, or have an area within this band.
