Help with fundraising

A small team within the Church and Society Department is dedicated to helping parishes fundraise for buildings or community-based projects. They offer training and support on finding sources of finance, which is free and available all year. Raising funds can be daunting, so the programme of sessions and support is designed to get you started. Click here for Fundraising.

In the first ten months of 2008 parishes were successful in bidding for £784,000 from external sources, excluding English Heritage. The training available includes sessions on:

  • Introduction to Fundraising and Grantnet
  • Getting Your Project off the Ground
  • Making a Good Application, and
  • Managing a Church Hall.

As well as training, Dian Leppington, Parish Resources Advisor, offers Funding Advice Days, where parishes can discuss individual funding needs.
