The National Stewardship Committee has launched a new service aimed at helping parishes of all sizes save money on everyday running costs. A new website at
www.parishbuying.org.uk can save you money on a whole range of items from energy bills, office products, IT software, photocopying and fire safety.
So, if you’re interested in potentially reducing your costs, do visit the website, register, and see what you may be able to save.
The whole service is entirely free of charge and represents a major stewardship initiative, in response to the growing number of requests that were being received from parishes facing steep rises in their costs.
The initial signs have been encouraging – over 200 churches have registered, and current users of the site will make total estimated savings of some £55,000.
We hope that many parishes across the diocese will take advantage of this fantastic opportunity! So if you haven’t already done so, please register today – it’s free and doesn’t commit you to anything, but will give you the chance to compare your current costs and see what is available to benefit your church in 2012 and beyond.
