The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Revd Nigel McCulloch, has written to the Bishop of Lahore, the Rt Revd Alexandser Malik, to express his concern about the tragedies and difficulties that are happening – especially in the Lahore area, which has a diocesan link with Manchester. Bishop Nigel assured Bishop Alexandser that the people of Manchester are praying for the clergy and people of Lahore Diocese at this time.
Bishop Malik responded:
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
Thank you so much for your lovely e-mail of concern, care and love that demonstrates the love you and your Diocese has for us. We are passing through some difficult times in the history of our country. Please continue to remember us in your prayers. All in our Diocese, by the Grace of God, are safe.
Love, greetings and good wishes to you all.
Yours in Christ,
The Rt Revd Dr Alexandser John Malik
Bishop of Lahore
