There will be a special opportunity to celebrate children in the life of the church and recognise the ministry of those who work with them on 26 September.
‘A Church for all Seasons’ is an activity day at the Cathedral when we will celebrate children’s ministry in this, the 30th anniversary of the UN Year of the Child.
The day starts at 10am and children will be able to choose from a rolling programme of activities – music, drama, poetry, puppets, craft, Godly Play, creative prayer, vestments workshop – and an opportunity for children to contribute to the vision of the diocese. At 3.30pm there will be worship, during which children’s ministry volunteers will receive their Bishop’s Certificates.
This is a ‘drop in’ event with no charge, but parishes are asked to let Children’s Officer Steve Dixon know if they are planning to bring a group during the day. Call Steve on 0161 828 1433.
