The Council of Christians and Jews is delighted to announce the appointment of four new Trustees: the Rt Hon Michael Howard QC MP, the Rt Hon Frank Field MP, John Reynolds, Chief Executive of Reynolds Partners Ltd and Chair of the Church of England Ethical Investment Advisory Group, and Ingrid Stellmacher, Director of the International Commission on Peace.
The new appointments are a result of a recent internal review of CCJ under the direction of the Chairman, the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, Bishop of Manchester.
Bishop Nigel commented: “The work of CCJ, the UK’s oldest national inter-faith organisation, has always gained from the insights and gifts of its Trustees in their key role of developing the unique relationship between Jews and Christians in this country.
"The members of the present Board of Trustees are drawn from spiritual, civic, political, business and community backgrounds; and I have no doubt that their work will be enhanced by the addition of these new Trustees and the incisive contributions and benefit of experience that they will undoubtedly bring to CCJ.”
David Gifford, Chief Executive of CCJ, said, “We welcome our new Trustees who will bring their own perspective to the challenges facing CCJ today and helping us promote increased Jewish–Christian understanding and dialogue.”
