Who are you proud of?

If you know a Manchester resident who deserves some recognition, don’t miss out on nominating them as your community hero this year. Manchester City Council is asking you to put forward the people in your community who go that extra mile for others and make a real difference to where you live and work.

It might be one of your neighbours at home, someone you work with or it might be a group or organisation that works with the community where you live: the Be Proud Awards recognise individual and group achievement and ensure that your unsung heroes know that they are valued by those around them.

There are eight categories to select from:

  • Manchester’s Got Talent (new)
  • Good Neighbour
  • Contribution to the environment (group or individual)
  • Contribution to the community (group or individual)
  • Taking a stand
  • Sporting Achievement
  • Young person of the year (new)
  • Citizen of the year

So go on! Everyone knows someone who deserves a great big thank you, so spend just 10 minutes completing our form and make someone’s day. There are cash prizes and a glittering awards evening should your nomination get through to the final!
