Mothers pack a treat for Manchester freshers

24 July 2008

The Mother's Union will be welcoming freshers to Manchester during their first week in the city by handing out thousands of goodie bags in September.

Many students will be away from home for the first time and finding their feet. The MU will be offering a motherly welcome by greeting the new students and serving soup. They will also be providing welcome packs containing the essentials for student life: tea coffee, soup, pasta, rice, noodles, biscuits, toilet rolls, toothpaste and tissues.

Volunteers to help hand out the packs and donations of any of the pack contents are very welcome. You don’t have to be an MU member to help out.

Please contact Judith Hilton on 0161 828 1427 to discuss. Contributions will be received on 16 and 17 September, ready for Freshers’ Week the following week.
