Manchester Diocese, which has a link with Lahore Diocese in Pakistan, is encouraging Christians to be generous in giving aid to the victims of the floods in Pakistan.
Hundreds of thousands of people in Pakistan have been devastated by the worst floods in the country's history. The death toll already stands at 1600, with up to 14 million people affected.

The Revd Falak Sher is organising a multi ethnic fundraising concert on 10 September at 7pm at Collier House, Wellington Street, Gorton M18 8TX. All the proceeds will go to the relief effort in Pakistan.
The Bishop of Bolton has sent messages of support to Rt Revd Alexander Malik, Bishop of Lahore.
