In Rochdale, schoolchildren are leading the way in encouraging local Christians to make changes that help the environment.
On Sunday and Monday, hundreds of clergy and lay ministers from across the diocese joined together for Continuing Ministerial Development days with guest speaker the Rt Revd Arun Arora, Bishop of Kirkstall.
The Shades project launched in Bolton in October 2021 during Black History Month, a special time in the UK calendar to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of black people to British society.
Throughout September, St Anne’s Royton hosted an exhibition by Welsh artist Jeremy Thomas.
Chaplains are an integral part of life across our diocese, working in hospitals, prisons, educational establishments and more.
Village Church is an exciting new development within the Diocese of Manchester. It is a church and chaplaincy service in the Gay Village for and with the LGBTQ+ community.

The newest church in Manchester Diocese – Fabric Church - held its first service on Sunday 17th September.
Our Eco Stepping Stones resource was launched on Saturday 16th September at St. John's House. We were delighted to be joined by passionate eco ambassadors from across Manchester, including the Rt Revd Dr Matthew Porter, the Bishop of Bolton, alongside the Rt Revd John Arnold, the Bishop of Salford.
