Fr Derek Palmer died very peacefully and fortified with the sacraments on 31 May after a period of prolonged ill health that he bore with great prayerful fortitude.
The Revd Barrie Gaskell, currently NSM Curate at St. Peter with St. Philip Bolton le Moors, has been appointed as Chaplain at Sexey's Hospital in Bruton in the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
The Revd Eileen Hartigan is to retire as OLM Curate in the Walkden and Little Hulton Team on 5 September 2022.
At the end of May, over 70 friends, family and supporters gathered at the Church of the Resurrection and St Barnabas, Eastlands to celebrate with the 14 participants who recently completed the Foundations for Ministry course.
