Over 98% rated the ‘overall worth and experience of the conference’ as Good or Very Good!

Blessed with good weather, the diocesan conference helped inspire confidence in clergy and Church Army ministers, confidence in scripture, in ministry and in the future, whatever that will bring.

We had two keynote speakers who enriched us in most memorable and complementary ways: Bishop Tom Wright – a bit like standing up a torrent of biblical wisdom and being drenched to the point where you need to come up for air! Dave Hopwood – a visual feast, an exploration of theology through film, whether “Borat”, or “The Book of Eli”, or Coke commercials with hunky priests, plus others who contributed to seminars, worship and hospitality.

The conference worship took us through great images from Isaiah and Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Resurrection hope was rooted in the peace of God. We ended with “You shall go out with joy” (Isaiah), and “the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians), that we might go forward to be people who proclaim good news and bring in the kingdom.
