Run the Race
Run the Race is the Bishop of Manchester's pilgrimage to visit every parish in his diocese. Over a period of three years the Bishop will visit all 323 churches. He has recently reached the halfway point of the pilgrimage, having visited 162 parishes by October 2008.
On his pilgrimage visit the Bishop meets with the community to pray, to visit local projects and to share in a reception meal. He then joins the congregation for a special evening service at which he encourages them to pass on the gospel baton of faith, hope and love to the next generation.
