Lay Training

The diocese is available to provide a range of training, information and support for parishes

Foundations for Ministry is a new lay training course to help you grow and develop in Christian Ministry.

Eucharisitc Assistants assist the minister in the distribution of bread and wine at communion.

Authorised Lay Ministers (ALMs) share in the public ministry of the local church, as they serve their local parishes.

Diocesan community development aims to support the development of specific parish projects and to increase the capacity of parishes to manage those projects.

We also run regular training courses to help with different aspects of ministry such as administering Gift Aid, applying for grants and training volunteers for work with children and young people.
