Safeguarding Children

Safeguarding children is a very important aspect of schools for everyone, including governors. Several documents are attached to give some guidance. Further advice can be obtained from Will Leeson and Chris Shelley, as well as from the local authority.

Please note that the Vetting and Barring Scheme is currently under review and new guidance is awaited. In the meantime CRB checks should still be carried out on all new staff and on any volunteers who will be working regularly with children. New application forms are now in use and the old forms can no longer be used.
