Newly appointed headteachers in voluntary aided and voluntary controlled schools are invited to lunch and an induction meeting at Church House Manchester during their first term in post.
The meeting will introduce new heads to the work of the Board of Education and the support offered. It will also be an opportunity to meet diocesan personnel.
All new headteachers will be offered an individual visit by one of our school advisers and a free ethos health check which will give all new headteachers a base line assessment of the distinctive nature of the school which will be useful for the section 48 inspection, Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS).
If you are a new headteacher and have not had a visit from one of our school advisers please contact Malcolm Finney.
Cluster group meetings for Church of England primary heads and chair of governors are appropriate for all Church of England schools (VA,VC, and Anglican/Methodist/Foundation).
These meetings are growing in popularity. They enable Manchester Board of Education staff to interface closely with their schools. As well as discussing general business, there is a focus for each meeting.
The dates for each cluster group meeting can be found in the Events section.
