The diocese supports a number of local and national campaigns, as well as campaigning for fair trade on an international level.
Hope not Hate
Manchester HOPE not hate is a coalition of faith groups, community groups, mainstream political parties, trades unions and individuals who support the HOPE not hate campaign to counter racism and fascism in elections and beyond.
In 2009 the Bishop of Manchester addressed a full meeting of Manchester City Council. During his speech he called on people to reject racist policies. Click here for details.

The Environment
The Diocese of Manchester affirms the Christian mission of the stewardship of creation; in particular highlighting the Church's responsibility to respond to the impending environmental catastrophe of climate change.
