Christian - Humanist Dialogue
At home via ZOOM
18 August, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. IN: Faith and Spirituality
A group, open to all, is being formed of Christians and Humanists, to facilitate conversation together to build greater mutual understanding and respect. We hope too that it will bring new clarity to our our own beliefs, our selves and the lives we try to live.
We hope that together we will grow in trust and open doors to friendship. Christians might also expect to be brought into a deeper relationship with our Lord, who in his earthly ministry ate and talked together with the whole spectrum of his society.
For our opening meeting we have chosen to discuss a book, 'The Children Act' by Ian McEwan, which is a good read and holds a rich mine of issues to chew over and discuss together. It is not though essential to have read the book to attend.
