SUMMARY:Bolton Deanery Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Bolton Deanery celebration event. People from our parishes\, chaplaincies\, and schools will come together to reflect on how God is renewing lives and communities and to explore the next steps we can take together. \n\n\n\nWe’ll share our vision\, hear stories of hope from our deanery\, and outline the national support and investment that is strengthening our mission and ministry. \n\n\n\nWe will explore the four themes at the heart of our diocese’s strategy and how national funding will support our deanery: \n\n\n\n· Parish Renewal \n\n\n\n· Growing Younger \n\n\n\n· Church Planting and Revitalisation \n\n\n\n· Developing Missional Leaders \n\n\n\nYou’ll hear local stories of creativity\, faithfulness\, and discipleship – offering ideas and encouragement for your own ministry context. \n\n\n\nThe evening will be led by one of our bishops alongside members of the teams responsible for supporting the delivery of our shared vision. Through worship\, prayer\, and conversation\, we will celebrate what God is doing\, acknowledge the challenges we face\, and highlight the support\, resources\, and investment available to help us flourish. \n\n\n\nThese gatherings are for everyone: clergy\, lay leaders\, members of PCCs\, school staff\, chaplains\, volunteers\, new worshippers\, and anyone curious about where God might be calling us. We hope you’ll leave inspired and equipped to share this vision in your local context. \n\n\n\nDoors open at 6.45pm for refreshments\, the event will start at 7.15pm.

SUMMARY:Rochdale Deanery Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a Rochdale Deanery celebration event.

SUMMARY:Manchester and Salford Ecumenical Whit Walk
DESCRIPTION:A tradition that began over 200 years ago\, the Whit Walk processions were first held in 1801 and celebrate the birthday of the Church\, bringing together Christians from across the region in a joyful expression of faith and community. Each year\, crowds line the streets of Manchester City Centre to support the churches as they take part in this much‑loved event. \n\n\n\nWe are delighted to announce that the Revd Canon Kate Bottley will be the preacher for this year’s walk. Churches and brass bands will take part in this joyful procession of faith and fellowship\, and we would love for your parish to take part. \n\n\n\nThe closing date to register for the walk is Friday\, 10th April. This year\, the fees are as follows: \n\n\n\n\nParish/Benefice: £75 (same as last year)\n\n\n\nMission Community: £150 (new category)\n\n\n\n\nIf you are interested and would like a registration form\, please email Revd Caroline Hewitt at: revd.caroline.hewitt@gmail.com \n\n\n\nTo help mark the occasion and reflect on the meaning and heritage of the Whit Walks\, we’ve created a special film celebrating this enduring tradition.
