The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Revd Dr David Walker, in consultation with the Dean and Chapter has appointed Susie Mapledoram and Jill Pilling to be Honorary Lay Canons of the Cathedral.
They will be installed at a service at the Cathedral on a date to be confirmed.
It is the custom for the title of Canon to be used from the moment of appointment.
