Follow three people from Manchester as they start training for ordained ministry in the Church of England. Amy, Hazel and Matt have each been selected to train to be vicars and they will be sharing their experiences of their training at www.northerncall.org.
Each is about to begin theological training, but in different ways and in a different place. They will share the ups and downs of following God’s call on their life. It has already been a long, emotional journey to reach this stage. Each has gone through a detailed and challenging discernment process which culminated in attending an assessment called a BAP (Bishop’s Advisory Panel).
Now they are about to attend college for the first time in Warrington, Liverpool and Durham, meet fellow students and tutors, and get to grips with their studies.
The new blog comes at a time when the Church of England is aiming to increase the number of vocations by 50% to equip it for the future.
