Child Friendly Church Award

The Child Friendly Church Award (CFCA) was updated at the beginning of the year and there is a new logo too!
Several churches around the Diocese are looking at renewing their CFCA or applying for it for the first time. It’s renewable every three years.
It’s a great way to help you consider the place of children’s ministry within the life of an individual church; it celebrates good work and helps to identify where the gaps might be. The CFCA is designed to enable, equip and support ministry to children and families.
The first stage includes the forming of a representative group to look at some questions which focus discussion around children’s ministry; there is help to make sure children’s voices are heard and a self-assessment form. It’s all about having the enthusiasm for making our children’s work as good as it can be as we seek to build up the Body of Christ.
The CFCA is not an end in itself but it is part of a continuing journey as we think about what it truly means to encourage and enable each other as co-worshippers and disciples, developing our gifts, no matter our age.
