    Looking forward to Labs Live

Bishop David will be a member of the judging panel for Labs Live 2019, an event in Salford for Christian coders, creatives and problem solvers who will come together to develop solutions to further the Church’s work in the digital space.

The event will end with participants presenting their solutions to the panel, who have been chosen for their knowledge of digital, creativity and understanding of the breadth and depth of the Church of England. The panel will then choose two projects to be built and tested, funded by the Church of England.

The panel, lead by the Head of Digital for the Church of England Adrian Harris, includes Rt Revd David Walker, Bishop of Manchester, Lynda Davies, Dr Bex Lewis and Radio Manchester's Mike Shaft.

Speaking about the event, the Bishop of Manchester said:

“I’m looking forward to our day in Salford and the excitement that will be generated by the second Labs Live event. It will be good to hear ideas from the 50 Christian creatives and techies, and their suggestions for helping the Church’s digital evangelism and discipleship. Labs Live is part of the Church of England’s Renewal and Reform programme, which seeks to ensure the Church of England is a growing Church. The innovations that result from the day will play an important role in this work.”
