New Appointment: Children Changing Places Project
04 January 2019 IN: Schools
The Diocese is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Openshaw who will be the new Early Years Worker for the Children Changing Places Project from 21 January 2019.
Stephanie will work alongside parish teams to advise and support the establishment of 10 new Christian based toddler groups and will also influence 10 existing toddler groups to become more distinctively and intentionally Christian.
She will work to make links between church groups, faith at home and early years specialists in schools.
Stephanie said, "I am very excited to be joining the project as the Early Years Worker. I am looking forward to providing help and support to parishes as they establish distinctively Christian toddler groups across Bolton.
"I currently lead a toddler group within a team at Christ Church Walshaw in Bury, where my husband, Steve, is Priest in Charge. The toddler group has been established over the last 18 months and has had a positive impact on our church family, which has been a tremendous encouragement. The consequences and implications of this impact have been surprising in a very good way.
"I look forward to meeting you soon, working alongside you and have great expectancy and anticipation for what God has in store as the project develops."
