Church Planters (Key Leaders)
£20,000 for 37.5 hours per week (part-time hours would be considered)
The Diocese of Manchester has committed to planting 10 small churches in some of the more disadvantaged and culturally diverse areas of the diocese by 2023. We are looking for two church planters, with a passion for evangelism, prayer and discipling of others.
The candidates will have an interest in cross-cultural mission and desire to reach deprived areas with the Good News. They will commit to establishing new churches and leading them in prayer, evangelism, worship and teaching the Bible. They will enjoy working as part of a team and will be able to communicate easily across a range of cultures and education levels, particularly with young adults. The post-holders will deliver training and mentoring to others and, whilst experience of this is not crucial, the successful candidates must be willing to learn these skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to break new ground in one of Europe’s most diverse, creative and exciting cities, which nevertheless suffers from high levels of deprivation.
There is an occupational requirement for the post-holders to be practising Christians, in accordance with Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
An appropriate safeguarding check would be required for this role.
