- A Children Changing Places Project Manager who will lead the team and be accountable for managing the project.
- An Early Years Worker who will create new distinctively Christian toddler groups.
- Three Deanery Children and Family Workers who will promote discipleship pathway opportunities in schools and their connected churches through voluntary groups such as ethos and worship groups. They will support Year 6 pupils transitioning to Year 7.
- Three Chaplaincy Assistants who will encourage discipleship opportunities for pupils in school within the Bishop Fraser Multi Academy Trust.
The diocese will soon be advertising a number of new posts for the 'Children Changing Places' project to create a Christian discipleship pathway for children and young people in Bolton.
The announcement follows the award of funding from the Church Commissioners to develop projects that engage children, their families and schools in the Bolton area, particularly when children reach the key points of moving into primary education or from primary to secondary education. The new post holders will focus on building strong links between the home, church and school to create discipleship pathways from toddler group to secondary school and beyond.
