Deanery children and family worker
£13,107 per annum pro rata (for 21 hours per week and term time only 39 weeks per annum) – Fixed Term Contract 6 months
The Diocese of Manchester established the ‘Children Changing Places’ project in 2019, with the aim of providing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton, in line with diocesan objective to ‘grow the Church younger’. We are looking to appoint a Deanery Children and Family Worker, to join the CCP team in working alongside parish teams and CE primary schools for two terms initially, in order to develop Christian discipleship pathways for primary school age children and their families.
The post-holder will have experience of working with children and families. They will be creative and able to lead and support activities in schools. They will be excellent communicators with good interpersonal skills and listening ears. They will be able to build and maintain working partnerships and have a working understanding of safeguarding principles and practice.
There is an occupational requirement for the post-holders to be practising Christians, in accordance with Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
