Last night, on Thursday 2nd May, Manchester Cathedral hosted a service to celebrate 30 years since the first ordination of women priests. It was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues and friends to get together to reflect on all that has been achieved over the last 30 years.

Bishop Cherry Vann will be preaching and Archdeacon Karen Best will be presiding and all are invited to attend. As part of the celebration, we are creating a piece of collaborative art to celebrate the work of women priests in the diocese.
The annual ecumenical prayer initiative 'Thy Kingdom Come' (TKC), led by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, makes its return next month. This worldwide prayer movement, which runs from Ascension Day until Pentecost, aims to unite Christians as they pray together for more people to know Jesus.
