Bolton Deanery Lay Leadership Conference 2026
Lay Leaders from across Bolton Deanery recently came together for the second Deanery Lay Leadership Conference.
Lay Leaders from across Bolton Deanery recently came together for the second Deanery Lay Leadership Conference, building on the success of the first conference held in October 2024.

Centred on themes of wellbeing and succession planning, the morning was hosted by Bishop Bridgeman C.E. Primary School. Readers, Authorised Lay Ministers, Churchwardens, Children and Youth Leaders, Treasurers, PCC members and others gathered for a time of worship, fellowship and leadership development. The keynote address was given by Mark Davies, Bishop of Middleton, who encouraged, inspired and affirmed those present in their ministry and calling.

Alongside the main sessions, a quiet prayer space was available throughout the morning, as well as creative activities offering opportunities to reflect on and respond to the key messages. Our thanks go to everyone who attended and contributed to the conference, with particular gratitude to Bishop Mark for leading the morning and to Bishop Bridgeman C.E. Primary School for hosting.
