Churches join Greater Manchester’s First Baby Bank Network

Ten Greater Manchester baby banks have joined forces to launch the city region’s first network.

This week, Granada Reports featured a story on Greater Manchester’s new Baby Bank Network. The Revd Caroline Hewitt and the Little Lighthouse Baby Bank in Wythenshawe were included in the film as they are one of ten baby banks that have joined forces to launch the city region’s first network.

The network aims to ensure that if one baby bank runs low on supplies, others can step in, helping more families access essentials like nappies, formula, and clothing. Little Lighthouse, based at St Martin’s Church Hall, offers a unique model where families can choose items themselves, alongside referrals from health and social care. Learn more by watching this short film, featuring Salford Baby Bank at St Luke’s Weaste, Cascade Baby Bank in Audenshaw, and Little Lighthouse in Wythenshawe.
