Keynote Speaker
The Rt Revd Smitha Prasadam, Bishop of Huddersfield in the Diocese of Leeds, will be the keynote speaker at the Intercultural Kingdom Conference 2026, in Manchester. Consecrated in 2023, Bishop Smitha brings a rich breadth of ministry experience across parish life, chaplaincy, racial justice, vocations, worship, and mission.
Born into the Church of South India and shaped by the Anglican Church in Wales, she carries a deep personal and theological commitment to intercultural faith, hospitality, justice, and discipleship. Before becoming Bishop of Huddersfield, she served as Chaplain of St Alban’s, Copenhagen, and held key advisory roles in the Diocese in Europe, including as Bishop’s Racial Justice Adviser and Vocations Adviser.
Bishop Smitha is known for encouraging confident discipleship, building partnerships across communities, and helping the Church engage faithfully with people of many cultures and backgrounds. Her passion for mission, racial justice, liturgy, children and young people, and intercultural partnership makes her a compelling voice for this year’s conference theme: Intercultural Discipleship.
