There were celebrations this week as the Revd Debs Crossland, recently ordained Deacon to St Ann Bellfield and the benefice of Hamer and Healey with the Revd Gill Barnett, received the Nurse Leader of the Year Award from Turning Point.
Debs (pictured centre with the white stripy top) was nominated for her outstanding leadership at Douglas House and Pendlebury House, where she consistently goes above and beyond to support both staff and service users. Her colleagues praised her dedication, positivity, and ability to lead with compassion and integrity – always keeping the needs of others at the heart of her work. The award recognises Debs as a driving force in her field, someone who builds trust, tackles challenges, and inspires those around her. Her commitment to both her professional and ministerial vocations is a true testament to servant leadership. Debs said, “What a year to win the award and start my curacy! I’m very blessed and thankful.”
