Youth Residential is a Catalyst for Fun and Faith

Last weekend, Bolton West Mission Community held their annual youth residential ‘Catalyst’. Young people from churches across the Mission Community came together at St Peter’s Parish Centre for a fantastic weekend of teaching, friendship, and fun.

This year’s theme, “Courageous Living,” was explored through engaging sessions led by Andy Hunter, former chaplain at St James High School. Together, the group reflected on what strengthens us on our journey of faith and how courage shapes the way we live and grow as disciples.
The residential weekend was packed with activities, including plenty of party games, a trip to Moss Bank Park complete with ice cream, and a lively competition for the coveted Battle Royale Trophy – a challenge everyone threw themselves into with enthusiasm.
Youth leaders across the Mission Community meet regularly to support and encourage one another, and clergy and lay leaders run events throughout the year to bring young people together as they grow in faith, confidence, and community.
