Service of Remembrance for Lives Cut Short
November 24 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Each year, the Service of Remembrance for Lives Cut Short honours, by name and at the request of their families, those who have died as a result of murder or manslaughter.
The service features readings, music, and hymns, and is led by individuals who have personally experienced this form of bereavement. Bishop Mark Davies also offers a blessing and formally acknowledges the Book of Remembrance, which is present at the service each year.
This year’s service will take place at Manchester Cathedral on Monday, 24 November at 7.30 pm. Music will be provided by the Accord Inspirational Gospel Choir.
The event is organised by supporters of SAMM (Support After Murder and Manslaughter), a national network offering support to families and friends bereaved through homicide.
If you would like a name to be read aloud during the service, or if you need more information, please contact Revd Canon Steve Williams:
