The new Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF) has now opened for applications.
The new Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF) has now opened for applications.
For those wishing to apply, the first stage is to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by Sunday 14th June 2026. If your EOI is successful, you will be invited to make a full application.
The PWRF is designed to support the repair of England’s listed places of worship and is targeted at the places of most need. A total of £92 million has been allocated to the fund over a 4-year period. The new PWRF will focus on urgent fabric repairs and essential improvements. The Government wants the funding to reach where there is the greatest need for investment and the most community benefit.
There will be future opportunities to apply, and the next one will be September 2026.
You can find further information, including priorities, objectives, and criteria that applications will be assessed, plus a series of FAQs, on the Places of Worship Renewal Fund webpages.
