Safety and Security Resources for Churches

The Church of England has published national guidance and resources to help prevent incidents and reduce the impact of attacks or hate crimes.

Following the recent increase of the UK national terrorism threat level to severe, it is understandable that concerns about safety in public places, including churches, have grown.

Although the risk to church communities remains low, the Church of England has published national guidance and resources to help prevent incidents and reduce the impact of attacks or hate crimes. These resources include information on Martyn’s Law: Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, guidance for church officers and leaders, and advice for members of the public.
