Celebrating a Lay Ministry Milestone

There was an extra-special reason to celebrate at Emmanuel Community Church, Radcliffe, on Sunday as ten new and re-authorised Authorised Lay Ministers (ALMs) were presented with certificates to mark the completion of their lay ministry courses.

Nine members of the Emmanuel congregation and one member from Hillock & Unsworth gathered with family, friends and supporters to mark this important milestone. During the celebration, they were presented with Lay Ministry Course Certificates by course tutors Kim Morgan-Jones, Beverley Angier and Steve Mawhinney in recognition of their commitment and achievement.

Seven of the certificates were awarded to those who completed the Leading Small Groups Ministry course, which has recently completed its first full cycle following a successful pilot last autumn. Encouragingly, participants have already established a new Bible study small group, putting their learning into practice and helping to nurture discipleship within their church community.
