LAY MINISTRIES
Lay Ministry Courses
Applications for this year’s Lay Ministry Courses are now closed.
Lay Ministry Courses (formerly the General Lay Pathway) are part of our vision to see all lay people empowered, enabled and equipped for discipleship and in their roles in their churches.
Our lay ministry courses are open to anyone wanting to develop their calling and gifting to Christian ministry and service. These courses are also an essential and rich element of our Authorised Lay Ministry Course, and part of the preparation for those looking to train on the Licensed Reader Pathway.
What does the training involve?
All courses are around 12 sessions long and run from April to July each year. Delivery is a mixture of online and in-person teaching at a variety of venues around the diocese.
There are currently nine courses available:
- Ecology and Creation
- Mission and Evangelism
- Parish Administration
- Prayer and Spirituality
- Worship and Liturgy
- Leading Small Groups
As part of our Growing Younger Stream
- Ministry with Early Years
- Children and Families
- Youth Work
