GOVERNANCE
Bishop’s Council
Bishop’s Council serves as the Standing Committee of the Diocesan Synod, ensuring continuity in decision-making between Synod meetings. It plays a key role in shaping diocesan strategy, offering recommendations to the Synod and acting as an advisory body to the Bishop of Manchester.
Members of the Bishop’s Council are elected from Diocesan Synod to represent their archdeaconries, alongside ex-officio members who serve by virtue of their office. Together, they help guide the mission and governance of the diocese with wisdom, collaboration, and accountability.
