A Place search will yield results of anything that contains the string of characters entered (e.g. looking for “West Didsbury” produces a list of every place incorporating “West”). People searches return matching surnames only.
You can also browse the deaneries, parishes and churches within the diocese. They are grouped into the four Archdeaconries of Bolton, Manchester, Rochdale and Salford. Click on a deanery name to see the content within, including clergy with permission to officiate (PTO) who may be able to provide cover for services during a vacancy.
The details of Diocesan Officers and Other Administration Areas are also available. ‘Other Administration Areas’ includes the Antioch Network, Manchester Cathedral, Borough Deans (Local Authorities) and non-parochial people and places.
