On Sunday, 16th November 2025, thousands of churches will join together to talk about safeguarding and help to protect vulnerable people. 

This initiative, spearheaded by a chairty Thirtyone:eight invites communities to come together to reflect on their safeguarding journey, and highlight all of the good work that is being done to create safer places. The theme is Action Speaks Louder. Parishes can choose another date if that clashes with other plans. 

To help the preparations, churches can register to take part in the campaign and download a wealth of resources, (co-produced with Roots, 4Front Theatre, and Loud Fence) to help them run a service or include the materials in a service. There is also a communications pack to help you to share with members that they are taking part.

Thank you for your support with this campaign. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness of safeguarding, encourage volunteers to step forward and most importantly, whole congregations are learning that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, which in turn creates safer places for all.
