FAITH AND CALLING
Exploring Faith
Curious about Christianity? Wondering where to begin? You’re not alone. Many people find themselves asking life’s big questions: What’s life all about? Is there more to it than this? Where is God in my everyday experience? Exploring faith is a personal journey – and one that doesn’t have to be taken alone.
Whether you’re new to Christianity or simply looking to reconnect, our churches offer a welcoming space to explore faith in a relaxed and friendly way. You don’t need to know any hymns or church customs – just come along!
Many churches run short courses designed to help you explore Christian belief, ask questions, and meet others on a similar journey. These sessions often include a short talk, time for discussion, and sometimes even a shared meal. They’re free, informal, and open to everyone.
Faith isn’t just for Sundays. The Church of England’s Everyday Faith resources help you connect with God in the midst of daily life — at work, at home, and in your community. You can access reflections, prayers, and stories through the Everyday Faith app or online portal.
If you are looking for a way to deepen your prayer life and connect with others across the diocese? Our Transforming Prayer Community offers a welcoming online space where people come together to share in daily prayer, weekly reflections, and occasional prayer walks and special services.
Hosted through a dedicated Facebook group, this community is a gentle and supportive way to explore prayer, find encouragement, and grow in faith.
Come and join us – you’ll be made most welcome.
